Owned and operated since 2006 by Batesville, Indiana, residents Pete and Marlene Wukusick, The Stone Studio is the culmination of a lifelong passion for quality craftsmanship, natural materials, and beautiful design.

Several years ago, Pete began acquiring stone fabrication instruction and hands-on experience through training and communication with expert fabricators across the country.  In addition, Pete has over twenty-five years of experience in mechanical engineering  design coupled with an extensive history of woodworking, home construction, and remodeling experience.  Marlene, who has a degree in fine arts,  shares Pete's  passion and knack for design. Their combined knowledge became the foundation for the company, which now offers local residents access to a large selection of natural stone including a variety of granite, soapstone, limestone, and marble.  

Our specialty is natural stone design, fabrication and installation for kitchen and bath remodels or for new construction.  We create custom countertops, vanity tops, tub surrounds, fireplace surrounds, bar tops, tabletops, shelves, and windowsills.
     
As a small company, we are able to customize our natural stone projects to a degree that others cannot .  (Want a stone windowsill above the sink, no problem.)

We offer services that most leave out.
(Sure, we can take out that old countertop and hook up the new stovetop!)
